Last night I was with my girl and we were on the subject about "us" when she said "first you'll have to ask me out again, so I know" lol I giggled and said "I'm pretty sure by now you should know your mine babe, if not were probabaly gonna have problems"

She made it clear she wasn't joking at all and I didn't know what to say except "ok what ever you say babe" she looked pleased with that answer. We used to date way back in school. Does she mean like when we were kids and you literally asked the girl you liked if she'll be your girlfriend? That seems kind of immAture to me and I'd feel really stupid asking her that....

You gave the answer she wanted to hear. Similar answers are "Yes, dear", "Whatever you want", "You were right", and "I'm sorry".

While these may or may not be the right answers in every situation, they are almost certain to make her happy with you.

One thing I have learned in my seven year relationship is that things get very real once they are voiced. We both could be thinking the same thing but something happens when we tell one another, that is difficult to describe. If you find it difficult to say something, there may be something important getting in the way that you need to overcome.

Exactly.

Did you ever stop to think that she only wanted you to agree with her? Maybe she's more interested in being obeyed than in being understood.

There are lots of women like that - certainly not all of them, but enough to give rise to the stereotype of a woman-in-charge being followed around by an obedient boyfriend or henpecked husband.

Umm Dood that doesn't make any sense thanks for trying but I wouldn't be here asking if she didn't mean anything by it.... She clearly did... I'm pretty sure she means literally ask her to be my girlfriend, my question is more or less "why would I do that? We've been seeing eachother for a while now and it's pretty obvious were in a relationship"
