I'm in the 11th grade, and I'm a guy, and I like a 7th grade girl..... i dont want to date her right now, I just want to be friends with her...... considering her age.... would being friends with her, with my intentions, be wrong?

Keep in mind that when you're over 18 you'll be dating a minor... so just be careful.

But nothing can stop love. And 4 years is nothing when it gets to later ages.

It would be better if the girl was 20. 12-year-old girls are too young for any kind of romance, or even friendship with a 16-year-old.

It would look really creepy if you waited for her outside of her middle school.

If she were a couple of years older--like 14--then it might not be so bad.

When I was 18, I dated a 15-year-old. I was lucky I looked young for my age; nobody raised an eyebrow. In my high school graduation pictures, I looked like I was graduating JUNIOR high school.

It was legal--but barely legal. If she were 14, it would have been illegal.

Could be viewed as statutory rape depending on where you live.

That's if has sex with the girl, has the girl orally masturbate him, or he orally masturbates the girl. Even if he touches her without her consent.

If they're just friends, it's not illegal--but it's still pretty creepy.

She's a 12 year old child. A child. Leave her alone.

Yeah. A 12-13 year old child can't handle being in a relationship if she can't take care of herself first. I'd go for a more mature girl, like mid14-15

I agree. Four years is a pretty big difference when you're younger, but when you're 30...it's no big deal.

Once you are both over 16, the age gap doesn't matter do much. However, in this case she is still developing through puberty and probably impressionable at that age.

i was 16 when i first started to understand "like" messages from girls but i still could never have been sure. i hope you are at least sure of those feelings you claim to be receiving.

just...be very (very) careful and keep in mind she's probably bound to be rather immature.

Girls age quicker, but that doesn't mean they are emotionally more ready. However, considering the laws in each country. Keep the sexual stuff at bay. You can try to be her friend, if it is forced, then you're not authentic, don't catch her off guard that your original intention was to date her to begin with. So be authentic, ask her out. Don't be sexual until she is of legal age consent. Should be fine. Go for it.

4 years in general isn't a lot, but in your case it might be.

As stated, she will be a minor for 6 more years, so keep that in mind. also, it is likely she isn't emotionally developed enough for any relationship, and she will likely change into who she will really be (become) in the next few years; another point to consider.

That said: love is love, and as long as you keep to the laws, there's nothing to stop you

She's 12. She should be playing hop scotch and dolls, not getting involved in relationships.
