Are giving love poems creepy?

I used to write love poems...I was hoping that when I get to know my female friend better (the 17 year old) I should give her a love poem.... But I'm worried girls consider that creepy, and especially her, since she's aloof, shy, and not exactly a "girly girl".

Yes...in every possible way yes. If they only do see you as a friend, that is. If one had feelings for you and you developed feelings for her back, you're fine.

Take it from someone who's doene it.

I would say not to do it as well, at least until you get to know them awhile.

Yes, in this day and age giving love poems is creepy as hell and screams stalker! Romance is dead giving flowers is dead, just give up all that old fashioned poetry and flowers does not work anymore and screams creepy stalker in this era. Just give up and don't bother trying unless you want to be creepy, romance= being a creep and being creepy because old fashioned romance does not exist anymore, pursuing true love? That will make you a stalker, just quit, just give up that is all there is to it.

I think it might come off as creepy if your not in a relationship but it might be great if you are.
