At my Turkish cultural center, some girl (let's call her girl a) was shouting, "Melike wants to talk to you!! !" and melike was trying to shush her.... i eventually had a conversation with them, but then I think I ruined it by saying, "I know why you guys called me here.... you like my beard!" and then they looked uncomfortable, and we talked a little more, than melike's other friend (let's call her girl b) said they wanted to talk in private (girl b doesn't like me) and later when I asked girl b if I could hang out with them, she made up the lame excuse that they can't talk to me because their religious parents won't let them talk to boys.... i laughed it off, and she said, "it's not funny, it's religion," I think she was lying, because my beard joke was so unbelievably awkward....what should I do? should I apologize? should i explain to them i have autism? should I talk to them as if nothing happened? should I give up on her? i want to know, because i really like melike.....
