Well, I finally mustered the courage t ask the tall girl at work to find out she has a boyfriend, why she flirted with me I dont know it was just to have fun probably but wasted my life for sure. I am a timid freak so I might as well accept I wont have anyone and grow old and die alone and be forgotten forever.

One girl rejects him --> Gives up. Thinks he's meant to be alone till he dies

Pls, tell us more. Especially tell the virgin Aspies who've never been flirted with.

No one is meant for anything....I mean who dictates what you're meant for, some unseen outside force that has predetermined this is your purpose? Somehow I doubt the tall girl from work is the only women you can possibly ever ask out.

Of course if this is one of many multiple attempts I can see it seeming a lot more discouraging.

In the future, try not to become emotionally invested with someone you have not developed a physical or mental engagement with. I know that sounds difficult and robotic but sometimes it is better to keep your heart guarded instead of wearing it on your sleeve.

Some people are just flirty, and she probably found you attractive. I agree with Nocturnus, don't spend too much time on uncertain things. But, good effort on asking her out though.

i see where you are coming from mate some girls and guys are like that. they will have a bit of fun at your expense and some times we realize it but don't want to admit that it is fake. i have been there before i was with a girl i loved dearly for three years, i can tell you they were the best three years of my life so far. however during the last three months of our relation ship i did not know that she had been seeing another person a girl and one of my friends it took me three months to find out and when i did i didn't want to admit that it was over. i was hurt bad so a decided to get my own back on her i learnt from the experience instead of disappearing in to shadow i mastered the pain and got over it. and that is what you should do show this girl that you are better than her, that even though you are hurt by the experience you are better for it.
trust me mate i know it may be hard but linger on this let this experience poison you and she will win and under no circumstances can you let that happen. don't shout at her if you see her smile say hello ask her how she is act as if nothing happened. do like i did master the pain you will show her that you are the better not her.
never give up

I thought you had lots and lots of sex going on? More than any of us have.

Have you not asked any of your sex friends for a partner?

There are worse things than being alone. Look at what you do have.

What's worse? How about third world poverty, countries taken over by terrorists, and terminal diseases. I mean look at people like us bitching we can't get a girlfriend when people in the world have it so much worse.

(Oh) why can't you have your cake and eat it too?
Why believe in things that make it tough on you?
Why scream and cry when you know it's through?
Why fall in love when there's better things to do!

This may sound like odd advice but it has tended to work for me. I suppose because part of the problem is trying too hard and appearing desperate which tends to scare people away. The trick is to not care. Not as in not care about the person but not to care about the outcome. Just spend time with a person you like and don't worry about the outcome.

Also, are you sure she was flirting with you? Personally I've never been able to get that correct. Of course normally I wouldn't know they were until someone would tell me hours later but on other occasions I've thought there was more meaning to things than there really was. Maybe she was just being nice. I know how confusing that can be sometimes.

Context is key.

Blurting out "Do you have a boyfriend" out of nowhere can scare women off. You want to lead into that naturally through conversation so as not to make you seem desperate.

Don't give up. Analyze the situation, learn from your mistakes and try again.

If you consider women worth the effort, that is. I don't, because there are only so many hours in a day and I'd rather spend them on myself and things I enjoy. But to each his own :)

You got rejected by one girl? You should be getting rejected by a lot more girls than that or you're doing something wrong.
