I was wondering if there are other mothers/dads of Asperger and HFA adults who would be interested in partnering for the purpose of matchmaking?

How old is your child and have they expressed any interest in being set up on dates by you, their mom?

Hi. Yes, definitely awkward, I agree. Blind dates are uncomfortable. But, sometimes they work out. I met my husband through a blind date. We were both well into our 30s. I remember feeling very vulnerable. In the long run, it beats being lonely.

I'm not sure this is a good idea. I have a daughter that is 21, but we are living far from you. Even if we lived close, I'm not sure it would be a good idea. She generally is hostile to the idea that I suggest partners for her. She is fine with other advice about guys and relationships in general, but she doesn't want to be paired up with somebody. Can't say I blame her, as I would be hostile to that idea as well.
