Not just anyone but people who you thought you had made a connection with.

Is it just me?

I like to think that they've just found love, and that they're just moving on with their lives.

Not really, I cannot really get attached to someone until I have met them in person...people online are just potential dates not guaranteed ones. But yeah I usually assume they maybe found someone they liked more, simply did not feel a connection with me or for whatever reason didn't want to continue online dating and just deleted their account....or in some cases I imagine its a fake profile the site caught onto and deleted.

I don't get upset, I get mad & confused, the men who stop talking to me without saying a word to me, those guys are rude, have NO guts to tell me it's over & they are not real men. I think they found other women that are beautiful or gorgeous & would do anything for them. Men think women have to talk to them. And why men put NO Drama in their profiles, they have drama too.

You shouldn't take anything personal or get attached to anyone on online dating unless you've met them several times. It's a real crap-shoot to begin with and there's always going to be be 10 times more misses than hits.

I never got more than a couple messages from women on dating sites. I got alitttle disappointed but not surprised or anything so I just accepted it & tried to find more women to message.

Kind of, but I know how it is to not know what to say. I just assume they were looking for something else.

Yes. One time I got upset when a girl from a dating site deleted me after our first date. If she doesn't like me that's fine but I was just kind of miffed due to getting no explination. During our date she talked about what we should do during our next date, etc. It just came out of the blue.

Same thing with a girl I'd chatted to for months, sounded like she really wanted to be with me. I even travelled to meet her parents. They really liked me. Then she gave me a dear john letter with no explanation. An explanation would have been nice.

In the online world, it's easier to "vanish", than it is to give an explanation. People would probably do this more in real life too, if they could get away with it.

From a guy's perspective, there is just too much competition from other guys on those sites. Girls will sometimes talk to you for awhile, until they get a better "offer", then poof, they are gone.

The other problem with those sites, is that people make too many snap judgements about other people, without really getting to know them. They also base most of their choices on profile pictures, and people's descriptions, and other info, is just an after thought.

Rationally speaking, this is quite true.

However, I find it exceedingly frustrating that people on dating sites conveniently vanish....And it's not about having a connection with them but that they seem interesting/attractive and you'd like to meet em. People are such flakes. It takes an exorbitant amount of patience to deal with dating in general.
