It's not his biological sister, he was adopted into that family so there's nothing truly incestuous about it, merely creepy. To be honest, virtually every super hero has been friendzoned at some point in their story-- it's the easiest way to create tension that's relatable to young teenage boys and thus a staple of the genre.
