Courage does pay off. Just explain how you feel, and also mention you're happy to remain friends if she wants (I KNEW soap-operas would come in handy one day!).

How can she riciprocate (did I spell that right?) if she doesn't know?

Well, I ran into her today and hung out for the whole day. I told her I liked her and asked her if we were just friends. She said that we were. *sigh...life sucks...

The term "just friends" is bogus. Friends are damn important! Maybe one day she'll need you to be something that only a friend can be.
