You know a bunch of happy couples who are in love and you have nobody. It's the most depressing thing ever, especially when you're aspergers'. Anybody agree with me?

Yeah, it is difficult when people seem to be flaunting something in front of you that you feel is unattainable for yourself.

But having AS doesn't in any way mean you will never find someone.

It does get depressing, but then I just remind myself that 90% of those "happy couples" are NT's who have no idea what they want from life and will end up hating each other in like a year or two.

That just makes it more depressing for me, because it goes to show how shallow most people are, and how difficult it would be to find someone who wouldn't be like that in this world.

That's a good point, Veresae. Why do people my age have to be dumbasses? Is it that hard for NTs to think?

Don't you just hate it when.. .

you are doing your absolute best to blend in with a bunch of NTs and you do or say somthing that seems perfectly acceptable and you catch them giving each other 'the eye' ( sort of a rolling guesture with a little shrug as if to say 'what a ret*d!'. I just want to scream out "AND I AM FAT, TOO, ya' wanna do your little eye roll and think about THAT, TOO? but I know they just would. ( Being mentally defective and fat are still OK to poke fun at in today's PC society.)

Sorry if anyone IS mentally ret*d, I don't mean to offend, however I have been called that so many times I sorta identify.

ohh I hate the media-why should I listen to them tell me what beauty is? I don't give a s**t if a girl is fat or not-that doesn't occur as unatrractive to me

(sorry off topic)

During the 3 years between me leaving college and me meeting my 2nd girlfriend I never felt depressed by other couples showing how happy they were and how much they loved one another, I thought "one day that will be me and a very nice woman, and I know I am able to find her", turned out my thoughts were right

in other words I am neutral on this as well

It doesn't really bother me. It only hurts me when I have my eyes on someone but he runs off with another girl before I even get a chance to talk to him.
