Is it normal to dislike your crush's bae for dating them?

I just find this rude, but it seems that many people dislike their crush's significant other for no real reason. In TV, usually the crusher or the SO is demonized, or there is some animosity between them.

Is it really standard to automatically dislike the one your crush is dating, and, if so, fight against those feelings?

Honestly I think if you aren't completely over your crush and they are with someone else, it is normal to feel a bit of jealously/tension, which results in dislike or hatred towards them. If they are with someone else, it would be best to try and get over them. If you do, the fact that they are with someone else probably won't matter as much.

If the person you have a crush on left you for another person, then it's normal to hate that other person.

If you developed your crush on a person who was already in a relationship with another person, then hating that other person just seems weird to me.
