I think I once read that some people with Asperger's are attracted to partners who have excellent social and communication skills. Can this be true sometimes?

Sure can. I take notice of girls who seem to have perfect grammar and punctuation for example.

When I met my Fiance she was very social, but this has changed as she seems to prefer my way of life (never new it was an option), but she does have excellent communication skills, which allows us to get on extremely well. I have no fear of sounding stupid and always try to explain what I am feeling, or why something has upset me.

I believe it's true for some but it's not true for me; I'm attracted to similarities instead of opposites cuz I wanted a partner on my level who could relate, understand & better accept me the way I was.

I would assume that most are indeed.

Since most of us are not as social, having a partner that can compensate is a great advantage

My husband isn't very social but he has handled things for me socially and knew what to say in situations. He also has another way of looking at things and tells me it's not a lie because of the way he looks at it and I never thought of it because I was being too black and white. For example, when my parents had our son for two months, my husband told me to just say he is visiting his grandparents. I told him that was a lie but he told me it was not because he is visiting them while they have him, they just don't need to know the details because it's none of their business. They just have him because they love him so they are visiting him at their house. No lie. My husband has a way of looking at things in a different light so it's still the truth.
