There's a girl who works at a restaurant I frequent a lot who I really like and want to ask out. When it comes to asking girls out who work at restaurants, I have no idea what the best way to do so is.

She always says hi to me when I come in, and has given me many discounts. I have had a couple small conversations with her, but because of the business of the restaurant, I rarely get an opportunity to talk to her.

I thought about giving her a thank you card for all the discounts she's given me, and asking her to dinner in the card.

What do you think?

I think you could say that you really enjoy talking to her, but you only get to in short segments due to her work, and tell her it would be great to get together outside of her work so you have more time to talk.
