Do you think makeup makes the opposite sex look more attractive? I'm mainly asking guys here, since women are usually the ones to wear makeup, but female opinions are welcome, too. I see these models on TV and the internet who wear eye shadow, eyeliner, and mascara, and I think it looks hideous and fake. Sometimes, women wear so much that it looks like someone punched them in the face and gave them two black eyes. I can see the need to cover up a bad scar or pimple, but I think natural looking eyes are sexy, rather than ones that are covered in black stuff. What do you think?

I think it *can* be attractive on either men and women. It can also look very unattractive.

i think it can be attractive if applied with skill and not overdone.
also i think i look good with a touch of brown eyeliner and mascara and maybe some neutral toned eye shadow, but it's not how i prefer to look for daily life.
i have a friend who i think looks good in pastel shadows due to her skin tone and her style.
it just really depends on the person, because i've seen some truly hideous examples before too.

I'm not a fan of it. I like natural looks better.

I usually don't notice eye makeup (other than perhaps in commercials for eye makeup). This is due to several reasons:
- I usually don't look at people's eyes
- I am slightly color blind (and would not notice unless the color was bright orange, or something similar)

I probably don't notice it either for those same reasons but I find it slightly unattractive when I do notice it.

I prefer a woman to have a little bit of tasteful makeup on. When done correctly it really accents the eyes, and am a big fan of beautiful eyes, even though I struggle badly with eye contact. Looking into a set of beautiful eyes is like this exhilarating feeling that takes endurance akin to staring at the sun for me. But I love it.

So a woman who knows how to frame her beautiful eyes to make them even more alluring is a great thing to me.

I date women and I like it. I like lots, a moderate amount, very little, or none. Idk, whatever works for them and looks good on their face. I wear a moderate amount but nothing really heavy because I have a baby face and heavy makeup looks bad on me because of it. Good thing because I couldn't do half of the stuff I see being done in terms of makeup like contouring and highlighting and doing the perfect eyebrow shaping.

I know some men wear makeup (pretty much all male celebs do), and I like makeup on men as well. Whether they just choose to do stuff that is barely visible but highlights their good points, or if they do the full face with contouring.

I like makeup and have lots of repect for people who put time and effort into it.

I think it's attractive when guys have dark colored eye-liner around their eyes.

It's okay? I mean, I don't really care one way or the other.
