So I am self-diagnosed with "high functioning"-I really hate using functioning labels but I don't know of any other way to refer to my level of autism so any suggestions are welcome :D- but my boyfriend says that he won't believe it until I have a diagnoses and get a second opinion-which I am in the process of being diagnosed- and I think the reason why is because our relationship is long distance and he doesn't see me and interact with me on a daily basis.I mean we talk every day and video chat frequently but he doesn't see or experience what I go through every day.I want him to understand and i know i can't make him but it seems like he doesn't want to hear about it.Any suggestions?

Maybe he has a very stereotyped view of what Aspergers is & doesn't understand that it's a spectrum that has higher functioning levels. If that's the case it may help to find him resources that better explain what Aspergers is.

I think he should be able to understand your issues without you needing to have them on paper. It really doesn't matter what is causing them.
