My dad once said to me "girls do tend to be indifferent towards you"

I do agree with him because on nights out its like one night a girl will be flirting with me and then the next time I see her she will be distant towards and talking to other guys.

How can I not let this ruin my self worth/self esteem?

You need to focus on the positive outcomes and not be defined by past experiences that trigger low self esteem, you need to focus on the future instead of the past.

You can not generalize every girl as indifferent towards you based on the few experiences that your father has seen.

Most people are indifferent towards most other people they haven't interacted with much.
Some people flirt with lots of people, just for fun.
