Hi All

I have been asked by someone at work to comment on an online dating website for aspies called Aspieology (http://www.aspieology.com) but know nothing about it. I have taken a look but the information is sketchy and at first sight it looks to me just like a typical "free to join, pay to use" dating website like all the 1001 others. The founder appears to be a member of WP but apart from that but I can find little hard evidence about this website.

Does anyone know anything about it beyond "it's awful" or "it's great"?

Kind Regards

Martin

First glance would make it a nope for me. "Singles"? There is a lot of overlap between neurodiverse & non-monogamous communities, and this would exclude a lot of people.

I have an account on Aspielogy and have spoken to (and continue to speak to) several people through it. Subscription is only requested for minor features, such as seeing your visitors.

I think it looks really cool but I also didn't check out to see their score on the better business burrow. You've always got to check that with online dating sites and see if they complaints they get are from not being able to provide the service or if it's because of money.

Hey Martin,

This is Reg, Creator and Co-founder of Aspieology. I started building the site in 2014, and officially launched a year later. As someone on the spectrum, I wasn't able to find a dating tool helpful for people with Aspergers, so I built one.

More recently, we added a new karma reward system that helps engage members in social interaction, since that's something many Asperger's people have trouble doing. The site was featured on Thrive with Aspergers with Steve Borgman, and we also sponsored the Love & Autism Conference this year.

We do have members from all over the world, and if you signup and don't find anyone near you, we'll make sure an give you a free upgrade. Our mission at Aspieology is to inspire human connection and lifelong success among Asperger’s and high functioning autistic adults. I'm happy to answer any questions, and you can message me using founderguy[at]aspieology[dot]com.

I hope that helps, and would be happy to welcome you if you decide to join. :)

Have a great day!

-

Thanks everyone - Reg included.

This is for a client at work who is seeking a partner and asked us to check it out.
