what is your normal routine.
one of my biggest struggles with my AS bf is that he doesn't like to shower. we actually had a huge fight over it yesterday.
it has been something that has been bothering me for quite a while, and i have addressed it very diplomatically.
i have never dealt with someone like this or a problem like this.
is it common?
more so with men?

I stopped showering.

Always liked baths better, anyhow.

im talking 4-5 days with no shower.
i make him sleep on the couch and then scream at him for sleeping there.
i hate germs and i worry about them all the time, so it makes it hard for me to look over this.
i am afraid it also causes him problems in every social circle.
i want him to be clean around me, but it pisses me off that ppl at work or anywhere may judge him.
the classic genius that stinks.
i dont want that for him.

I don't know what you can do.
I went through this, but I was
about 13, at the time.

Still get my periods where
I just don't want to get
wet, but eventually, the
funk gets to me.

Tell him you'll never have sex with him again unless he has a shower every day.

that is exactly what i said.
should scare him.
when i returned from my mothers today he was all showered up.
but this has happened before.
what is the deal? is it the time it takes? or just getting up and doing it? he gets very engrossed in what he is doing and just refuses to get up and take a shower. i set out his clothes and a towel and say "GO!"
and he rarely does.

I have to shower, at least once a day.

With me it's a sensory thing: I hate the water on me and also I feel freezing when I get out afterwards. But it's also just that I'm a terrible procrastinator, and I just want to not bother with it at all.

Yeah, so much is like this. But, the whole sex
thing works, so I'd just go with it. 'Course, he'll
start to equate the two, and expect sex, if he
showers. :P

I'm a runner, so I shower twice or three times a day.

I always shower before I go out but if I am not going anywhere I will not wash for several days.
I like the smell of unwashed person - I find it very erotic
maybe that is part of the mating ritual of AS men/women? (I am AS girl)

don`t fret about germs - most bacteria are beneficial and keeping a good colony of comensal bacteria prevents you from becoming infected with some harmful ones

you have more bacterial cells in your body than human cells so really you are a bacterial colony infected with `human`.

I am the opposite, I feel very uncomfortable the day I don't take the shower, I get the feeling of being filthy.
I take a hot shower everyday only once a day, and it takes me about 20-30 minutes. There are sometimes that I feel too lazy but I always end up doing it.
The bad thing is that I always get prune fingers after the shower

what about sex in the shower? that would work for me no matter how bad my attitude towards showering had become.

Normally prefers baths as I find it hard to read in the shower the books tend to get soggy.
