That one's a classic. Here's another classic.

I was told by Alliekit to read the first link since she thought it would help me but after reading "motherf***ers" twice so close together, I honestly had to x out of it. It looked way too sarcastic for me and the rednecks as well as rapper thugs who terrorized me used that insult a lot. I am not familiar with cracked so maybe that is their style but super sarcasm has been an extremely difficult pill for me to swallow.

Super sarcasm is pretty much the entire basis of Cracked Magazine. It's the main competitor to MAD Magazine. I haven't seen a printed copy in more than 15 years. I guess they publish online now.

This was really refreshing to read honestly, needed a bit of a motivation boost too as I procrastinate a lot lately. Thanks.

I wouldn't pay any attention to any advice given in Cracked Magazine, as it's mostly mean-spirited sarcasm.

All good comedy has some truth to it, whether good or bad. I didn't read the whole thing, but from what I read I would hope the guy that wrote it was being somewhat sarcastic and doesn't honestly believe this makes someone a better person.

I knew there was a reason I learned to cook! I just learned how to make cookies from scratch. In other words, making them from basic ingredients like flour, butter, sugar, salt, and baking powder.

Yesterday I put a new award on my office wall to impress all the management types--only a small fraction of them can do that!

It's not necessarily bad advice, but it throws individualism out the window and doesn't even try to acknowledge the fact that there's countless cases where these things didn't apply. It's just another person who thinks they're an experts on relationships and just love to let everyone know the REAL advice is. Frankly, that kind of attitude is insufferable.

How does the advice preach conformity or uniformity? :?

IMO, the advice is very sound. Sure, he swears & the article is on Cracked, but so what? It doesn't change that the advice is actually pretty good and that people who follow it are very likely to be more attractive partners to others.

The entire article can be summarized as "do things for other people". That's all fine and dandy, it's just the way it's presented as though people are some kind of algorithm you just work with and get relationships out of that annoys me. People always have these "to-do" lists to get partners, and they don't treat others as individuals.

I think so too it's good to try and make improvements, but the article didn't seem to think that sharing the same views and experiences are important is important and that people just want things from you.

I also didn't like how the article said that jerks can be more desirable because they have more to offer, but why would it be desirable if it's just an act to manipulate others for their own selfish reasons? It's fake and deceptive.
