Not Worried About Getting Married Anymore

With my 30th birthday approaching soon (in April), and so many of my relatives (and friends) have gotten married/are engaged, it had me thinking: Ever since my rediagnosis on March 13, 2014, I'm not in any hurry to get married anymore.

Sure, I may be pursuing my career in the IT field, but I am not worried about finding love (not as much as my biggest dream: moving to Los Angeles) anymore, because I am now at peace with who I am now- but, at the same time, I am also optimistic that "my time will come" (if you get my drift).

What do you think of all this?

Sometimes love has a way of finding you when you least expect it and when you're not looking for it. I think you have a good attitude, just enjoy what life brings you. Just enjoy life.

I and one of my cousins are the only ones in our generation of relatives who have never been married; from diligent working efforts she became «successful» enough to be the only millionaire (not from inheritance) amongst us in this generation (and I was the primary giver of business-advice to someone who currently has millionaire net-worth according to the financial-systems when it started out with him pestering with his need to borrow money from me for this or that or whatever reason practically every day). The rest are married with children.

You will appreciate the lack of the «forced dramas» upon your life when you refuse to get involved with people who are always intentionally causing unnecessary problems then demanding that you need to bail them out.

That's what I did: I said to the "universe" that I accept whatever life has to give me. Not one week later I met my wife.

I think it's a good attitude to have because i tried it the other way and I got bitter, and that was worse.
However it's also known to have drawbacks, because it can cause high expectations!
I'm still dealing with this so any input would be welcome

Yes, but it doesn't make much sense for someone who is single, or who's always been single (I don't know him well) to be "in a hurry to get married".
But yeah maybe he doesn't mind being single now.

Well, honestly I think WP and Logic don't get along well.

Even though often Aspergians talk about how they're more logical than NTs and stuff, I agree with you.

Maybe they're more logical when it comes to things like math and science or any kind of abstract thinking, but for the social things? Not at all.

I don't think that it's about math or science. I think it's more about trying to figure out a way to deal with social situations by using logic instead of having a social instinct, which of course it's not a good idea, since often it's just a set of customs and it can't be thought out logically. At least this is what I experience myself.
