Greetings M009. You're doing the right thing.

to all yah naysayers out there, let it be, trust me, a crush to a friendship is a great thing to have happen. It means that you both want the right thing in life.

trust me I know. my first girlfriend and I, broke up and it took about a year for us to become friends again, mainly because I still liked her, and it took several rounds of clincal therapy to help me get out of that. in the end we're still friends.

afaik, I am the only human resident of Wackyland. It's the penguins who use that phrase.

New info via IRC, however:

He's angling to eventually have a relationship with her, they're both in their mid teens.
I stand by my original advice but I'm usually wrong about everything.

I wouldn't know how to help you with this, however, I'm friends with a girl at work who I fell in love with for a brief period in the middle of last year, when I did ask her if she wanted to take things further she said "no" which hurt me a little but I remained friends with her as I liked her friendship and she is a very caring person like myself. That said, I have a feeling you will be able to be friends with the girl you have a crush on :)

Not necessarily. I'm still friends with a girl despite her knowing full well how I feel about her, after all. As long as I don't wilfully mess things up, we'll be fine.

Considering I was anticipating a hell of a lot worse when I told her how I felt, I think I've got off pretty well, to be honest. The fact that she still wants to hang out with me despite knowing how I feel while I'm around her is a testament to how much she cares for me.

Besides which, she's gay, so it's not like she could ever reciprocate anyway.
