I'm not sure what else to do. I'm 18, single and lonely. I don't know what exactly to do at this point. I have nobody to talk to and its just bottling up inside me to where i want to cry. ugh, i just wanted to rant somewhere where some people would understand (maybe). sorry if this overwhelmed some of you.

Worry not. I'm in the same situation as you, only 5 years ahead in terms of age. I used to feel really bad about being eternally single, and I still occasionally do, in fact. But something happened to me last year that gave me at least some hope. I may never find a significant other, but whether I do or not, I won't let it affect my overall enjoyment of life. Honestly all you can do is work on it - rid that mentality somehow.

That was a very brief rant. You're not overwhelming anyone. You're young. Just keep working at things and it will get better, promise.

You aren't alone OP. I'm 23 and I have been desperately lonely for my whole life. I've been trying everything I can think of to make friends and/or find a date for years and I've been utterly unsuccessful. I went to college for 3 years and have had several jobs with ample social opportunities but relationships are extremely difficult for me. I would be more than happy to share whatever I can to help you.
