I have anxiety, as many of us do, but I feel the majority of my anxiety is around my relationship with my girlfriend. She has ASD although hasn't been officially diagnosed yet. She also happens to be the best friend I have ever had, better than I could ever have imagined having.
We have been in a relationship for about two and a half years now, but I sometimes wonder if we are too like friends. I worry that because most of our time together is just that, seeing each other, watching films, going for walks, talking. Basically there may be a physical side to our relationship in that we both enjoy cuddling up to each other and such but the more, ugh, elaborate side to our relationship, the real physical stuff, is very rare.
At the beginning of our relationship we desperately wanted the physical, we wanted to learn and experience and all that stuff but as time has gone on that has become less important to us and we prefer to just cuddle or talk.
I know that this often happens in girl/girl relationships anyway, but is that more accentuated because we are aspies and gay?
I just sometimes feel that my anxiety likes to pick on every bit of my insecurities and so I need to know if this is ok, if this is normal, or if we really are sinking, slowly and sadly, back into being friends.
thanks

Don't worry about what people think about you two. The only opinions that matter in this relationship are yours and hers.
