So, I am usually very "interested" (if you can call it that) in comic book characters, as opposed to real people. They are so much more attractive! See the images below;

I have a problem, though; I can't find any REAL guys who are actually attractive! In my eyes, that is.

I'm wondering if anyone else does this? I mean, romanticizing about a real actor/actress I can understand, but I can't stop thinking about these "guys" who are just ink spots on a page!! ! ha ha ha! So pathetic of me. D:

I don't know, I just can't find anything worth looking at with real guys. Their image bores me, no offense to any real guys out there!! !

What do you think of this "predicament"?

Well people don't look like manga and never will.
You can't stay in fantasy and expect the real world to change to that.
You have to learn to love how people look in real life, or just stick to the fantasy.

In which way do they attract you? Is it the physical shape or the tatoos or what?

Also, do you actually want a relationship? If you don't, this is a non-issue for you. If you do, I can see the issue.

The ones I've liked are in their teens, and it isn't hard to let go of them once I realized that.

They're still better than a breathing living human being who turns out to be so one-dimensional, though.

Maybe its the fantasy elements that you're drawn to. Do you hang out with role players or cosplayers? Maybe you'd connect with someone who shares your fantasies.

I don't see why this is a bad thing. I think what you're attracted to is something that was designed to be attractive in ways that can't happen in reality. If you are attracted to one of these characters, then the author has done his job. Once you get used to seeing these characters, real people become less extraordinary because of their inability to live up to the power of characters in fantasy.

I second this. I used to be a hardcore anime fan and I believed I could only be attracted to anime characters. But eventually there came a point in my life where I "outgrew" anime and I now find real men and women to be attractive. One of these days you too may tire of ink and paper characters and start ogling flesh and blood people. :wink:

Then you both have the same problem which can only lead to disappointment and loneliness.
