If this is true about wlw as well as mlw then that explains how come I get a lot of female attention since I got a buzz cut as well as some people (usually straight guys) thinking it makes me ugly...

I wonder if it's true for people who like guys too.

My mum (anecdote I know) prefers aspie men. (sorry middle aged guys, she's married)

Except none of those in pictures are ugly, they're both above average.

The flower-on-hair woman puts more makeup tho, and guys are polarized when it comes to makeup, also she has more 'flirty' expression than the other one and people are also more polarized on this (ie. a religiously radical guy would quickly brush her off as a 'bad girl' and cast a 0 as vote) but so many guys may think she's very open to date.

The other one looks more innocent, and way less 'flirtatious'.

So it's a flirtatious vs non-flirtatious matter, not a pretty vs ugly thing.

Yeah I think the title is misleading too.

I think it can be a case of 'knows what she likes and goes for it' versus 'just looks generic cos goes with the flow'.

Healthy people like confident people who make their own choices.

Apparently if you are ugly you have to do something criminal and then the girls love you

But you don't have to be a mass murderer guys...just threaten to beat up everyone at a bagel shop and get somebody to post it on youtube

I think being less attractive can make you more approachable, but I do think there is a 'sweet spot'.

People who are a 10/10 are super intimidating.

People who are a 1/10 are repulsive.

In my experience, the women who get the most amount of attention are in the 6-7/10 range. They are more attractive than average, but not so attractive that it is intimidating.

I think this is less true for men, to be honest. Women in general seem to be less self conscious about being able to get some guy (though I bet they are more self conscious about being able to get a desirable guy).

I feel like it has more to do with 'lover' than with 'beloved'.

Talking in general terms but - guys tend to want sex and women tend to want love. That's why the het community talks about Grindr even though they don't use Grindr and why lbd is a phenomenon.

But yeah with hetero people I think you're right in general terms.

I'm a Kinsey 4 or 5 though and I care more about either sex's looks more than their bank balance. Comparing those two things cos they're equally shallow.

I like conventionally hot women and men who aren't considered 'conventional' because the guys I like are naturally androgynous (I say naturally because sometimes I say androgynous and people think I mean drag queens, no more like guys with rounded cheeks instead of rugged jawline, maybe only an artist notices these things). But this video seems to be more about people making radical fashion choices and - honestly - a lot of radical fashion choices scare me, like piercings and generic tattoos. So I guess I'd be in the 'marmite hate em' part of it.

But the main thing is to find someone who actually likes the choices you've made about your appearance rather than trying to 'fit' a generic category that might be bypassed anyway due to lack of confidence. I think that's more a problem for aspie women, a lot of us try to mask.

My theory:
- He is exaggerating and lying, how all these women could get his number from the news? He didn’t provide any proof except this one photo.
- Is the guy in the photo the same bagel guy? How comes he grew a beard.... AND hair that fast? This is an old photo and she is probably his ex wife, so the photo proves nothing.
- Probably some are just trolling him and not really attracted to him.

I think some women like the idea of tough guys but don't enjoy the relationship and keep falling into the pattern of getting them, so it's better the tough guy is already inside.

I don't know...I think "symmetrical" faces look best. Maybe "Ugly" when it comes to men means "scary" and "intimidating" so the female feels safe. When a female feels safe, she will mate.

Don't know how true this is

Manson’s engagement to a woman 53 years his junior was part of a wild scheme of hers to profit by putting his body on public display after his death

There's always something sinister behind such illogical pairing.

Hybristophilia (also known as the Bonnie and Clyde Syndrome) is a form of paraphilia (or perversion) involving sexual attraction to people who have committed some sort of "outrage". The term is usually associated with fans of notorious criminals.

Quote:

The motives of hybristophiliacs vary depending on the person, ranging from an enthusiastic, uncritical fascination over the criminal (akin to a fan with a celebrity) to downright infatuation. In the latter instance, there have been cases where such hybristophiliacs managed to marry the objects of their obsession.

Forensic psychologist Katherine Ramsland created a list of motives, based on her study of women who dated or even married serial killers:

A belief that they can "change" the criminal they obsess over
They see the child the criminal once was and try to "nurture" that part of his personality
A hope to gain public attention
A desire to live out a fantasy in which they are dating "the perfect boyfriend"
They are unable to find love in normal ways
They seek relationships that cannot traditionally be consummated

Another psychologist, Leon F. Saltzer, also hypothesized that women tend to be attracted by notorious male criminals like serial killers, even despite their awareness that it is morally wrong, because serial killers are a modern form of the alpha male (from an evolutionary psychological and historical standpoint), which has always been efficient in protecting females and their offspring from danger.
