When did you have your first crush?

I experienced my first crush when I was eleven years old, there was this girl in our English class that I had feelings for.

She had long brown hair and blue eyes. Her skin was pale and freckled, and she was also one of the popular girls at our school. She was happy and enthusiastic to the point of being borderline hyperactive, albeit a bit of a ditz. Unfortunately for eleven year old me, she did not share my feelings and was very much straight and in love with another person. I never told her how I felt. We were friends, but never that closely.

How about you?

I had puppy-love crushes starting at around age 5. I had a little crush on this babysitter.

When I was 9, I had a puppy-love thing going on with this 8-year-old girl. We kissed under the swings. She said "Love means never to have to say you're sorry."

I suspect my first real "crush" was on a French girl in 7th grade. I actually carried her books one day to her house. Nothing subsequent happened.

I think I was about 26 & it became a major obsession with a celebrity. I never really had a crush before thou I did get in my 1st relationship at 20. I loved her & was attracted to her & I hated being single after but I never rally had a crush persay.

I had a crush on my grade 2 teacher. She had such beautiful blond hair. I still have a vivid memory of being lined up in gym waiting for our teacher and I saw her and said a little prayer that she would be our teacher. My first crush on a boy was in grade 6. I don’t think it occurred to me to like boys but all the other girls were doing it and I really wanted to fit in. I find women draw my eye more than men but I mostly prefer to have relationships with men.

Do you feel sexual attraction to women, too, Leah?

If I felt sexual attraction to men, I'd want to explore it. But I don't.

I first remember having an obsession with another person when I was 6. It was on a girl in my class whom I admired because she was smart. I don't know if I would call it a crush, though.

Yes I do and I’ve explored it quite it extensively Once I got to high school I never felt the need to try to make my sexuality fit into any kind of box.

I’m attracted to more women than men and enjoy having casual sexual relationships/friendships with women but it doesn’t work out when I try to have more involved relationships with them. I prefer male energy around my home. Or slightly feminine male energy I guess. My partner is a bi male and we complement each other quite well. We have 1 guy and 1 girl spread out in different characteristics between the 2 of us. We’re a unique combo. We’re lucky to have found each other

when i was 19 / 20 i had a massive crush on this student from hong kong, a tall dark haired bespectacled Asian guy i was embarrassed whenever i saw him . i thought he was so gorgeous and cute . unfortunately it ended badly - my heart got broken

I was approximately 9 years old and my crush was a girl in my school class

Primary school. About 8 or 9.

7 years old. A girl in my class with brown eyes and brown hair in long pigtails. I remember covertly smelling her hair during a game of recess tag.

Orientation day for high school (12 years old). It lasted a few years. I had a boyfriend when I was around 8, but I don't think I was capable of having a "crush" before puberty.
