While I have never aspired to be a princess, I couldn't help but to ponder a few things during the courtship and weddings of the former prince William and his brother Prince Harry, particularly that of Prince Harry and Megan Markle as we are both about the same age and were not very distant from each other geographically nor perhaps in terms of social networks.

To get to the point, I think the British royal family is very concerned with image and I have concluded that my looks alone would have disqualified me from marrying in to such a family. Both Kate Middleton and Megan Markle have full faces, perfect teeth, warm eyes and an undeniably, healthy glow about them, whereas I have a gaunt face, hollow eyes, imperfect teeth, and am frequently told I look tired even when I am not.

In other words, I am the Steve Buscemi of women. I am not profoundly deformed and some people do find me attractive but to quote Fargo, I am "kinda funny lookin", "In a general way." and I don't envision I would be permitted to marry in to the British royal family even if one of the men did take a liking to me.

I think I would have to really be in love with a member of that family to marry them though. I typically prefer more casual environments where my wardrobe choices are not so regimented.

Don't sweat it.

I always thought it was good and humorous advice one of my high school friend's Mom gave him. He once asked her: "Mom, am I good lookin'?" She replied: "You're good enough lookin'" A realistic rather than a sugar coated answer.

I dunno ... if looking good is a prerequisite to marry into that family, how do you explain Camilla?

Talking about Royal Weddings this dog sums up my feelings

^ She is talking as if most people can marry into a royal family while she is the unlucky one lol.

Chronos, only other royals or the supermodel-looking women can marry into a royal family, the vast majority of women wouldn’t be accepted; it’s not just you.

This fantasy is unwarranted, get back to the ground.

Ah I see you follow the David Icke school of thought - the Royals are the Annunaki ( shape-shifting lizards )

The Royals are Gods. There's no way that any average person can be royal.

As I stated. I have no aspirations to be a member of the British royal family. I was just pointing out how it appears that one must have a certain look to marry in to it and I am a far cry from it.

Ah, you see Charles and Camilla were madly in love in their youth, but the queen did not approve of the relationship, one reason being that Camilla did not have sufficiently recent royal or aristocratic ancestry. Diana did, as her maiden name, Spencer, suggests. Charles and Camilla went their seperate ways and Charles married Diana but did not stop loving Camilla.

I suppose at some point he stood his ground on this, and they have seemed to have done away with the aristocracy requirement.

As for Camilla's looks, I don't think she is bad looking now and she certainly wasn't when she was younger. People just dislike her because they consider her a home wrecker, being that she had an affair with a married man.

I believe I am a bit of an outlier in the looks department.

Yeah, not being able to marry into the royal family is an unique real struggle.

((hugs))
