So this is not really autism related(though my nervousness may be due to my aspergers) but I just feel comfortable posting stuff here. Theres this girl I like at my residence but I am too shy/scared to talk to her(only have succesfully done so a few times when we happened to be at same table, but I am still really nervous to actually approach her). I was thinking of texting her over Facebook instead to start off, is that ok, or creepy? Should i first ask for her permission to text her? This all kind of sounds weird since we are in the same building, but figured I might as well ask just in case.

In short: What do you guys think of texting your crush who you don't know well?

I would just try to get better at talking in person first, at least until/if she starts to greet you whenever you see each other, whether it’s just waving or saying hi or something small. It’s possible she may still reciprocate without that, but getting a rapport in person clears the air of most of the awkwardness when friending people on social media.

meadowlands vibrant with flowers.
Carefree the songs our children once sang,
gilding our minutes and hours;
Clouds came and covered the sun,
the breath of a baleful unease,
turning to ashes flowers in their fields,
silenced the birds in the trees.
