So I was hitting up an older lady everything was going good until I said this.

“Trust me, a lot of them are in the closet about. They just don’t want to be ridiculed, shamed, and mocked because of it. Plus they don’t want to lose friends over it like I have. I’m one of the very few that is open about it, I’ve experienced all of it. But I’m a lot happier being open about it.”

She ended up ghosting me, I thought that was a good demonstration of courage right there.

I see i forgot something very important.

She was saying a lot of young men these days like dating women that are 10 or more years older than them. I said a lot of them are still in the closet about it.

I once dated a woman 19 years my senior.

My wife is 12 years older than me.

I don’t hide it.....

I think that woman may have felt objectified, as if you were attracted to her because of her age and little else. It sounds like you were fulfilling a fantasy about older women because of your use of the word "it" (I'm open about it, I've experienced it, I'm happy about it). "It" makes her sound like an inanimate fetish, rather than a person.
