I consider myself very lucky to be married to someone on the spectrum. We get each other pretty well :)

Is anyone else here married to a fellow aspie?

I luv myself profoundly,
But I have an aversion to commitment,
So, no. :mrgreen:

I notice a pattern here: A lot of married men here are married with women of cultures different than theirs - in case the wife is not aspie.

Let's list :P:
cyberdad's wife => Indian
Fnord's wife => from an Asian country, as he mentioned before.
Retro's partner => Chinese
"The hamster with iron helmet" guy's partner => I recall he mentioned he married someone from a Spanish-talking culture.
Most of my exes were foreigners too.
I am not sure of Kraftie's wife, I think they're the same culture.
Pepe's partner: An extraterrestrial alien :mrgreen: .

I remember I have seen more but can't recall who.

I wonder if this is due to the fact that aspies are more likely to prefer online communication, hence more likely to encounter foreigners.

I believe KK is married to a coloured person, but presumably of the same "culture".
My memory isn't the best tho.

I have always thought aspies should marry aspies.
Less misunderstandings.

Less misunderstandings.

A lot less. No translations to NT-ese needed, just understanding. The closest to misunderstandings is usually a simple miscommunication and resolved instantly. More analytical, less emotional at key moments, less drama.

I was with a "GF", on and off, for around 10 years.
I'm sure she was on the spectrum.
She denied it.
Ultimately, we weren't compatible.
Such is life. <shrug>
