Friends: Why don't you ask her out?

Me: How did you get that from us having a discussion about PowerPoint? :|

*Complements the shoes of that same woman*

Friends: I knew it!

Me: What? Oh. No, I just think her shoes are cool.

People tend to read too much into things.

I think it’s because they want this sort of thing to happen for themselves and others.
