Hi everyone.

I joined this forum around early September. I am a 30 year single male from California. I was just wondering if any female members perhaps between ages 21-50 wanted to chat/get to know each other.

I think the majority of women who frequent L and D are married... the small handful of us who aren't .....are usually pursuing or dating local romantic interests.

Anyways, that's not to say you couldn't meet someone here (I think Nick met his girlfriend here....?) But you should pursue all avenues available to you.

Finding a companion can be hard and take a while. Good luck

It’s better to try to develop a friendship with someone on here. A public advertisement like this isn’t going to make a girl feel very special.

He just wants to chat. Geographic separation shouldn't be a dealbreaker. I strongly encourage this, although you might not want to share details of your mutual interaction with the rest of WP.

@Leon_Trotsky from scanning your post history, I see you live in SF (although I would think Sunnyvale etc. would be even worse). Is there any possibility you could live on your own elsewhere e.g. Oklahoma City? Might improve your situation!

It is a sign of my social awkwardness. I often say and do things that sound weird and never notice until I get told.

I seem to lack in my brain the, "Hey, this sounds weird" intuition. When I wrote the message it had taken me about 10 minutes to scan it over. I thought that it sounded normal, but I guess not.

There is an “Eligible Odd Bods” thread in the stickies but it’s not very active. People on WP do date sometimes, but it usually happens by getting to know people through chatting and posting on other threads.

Other than the fact that the OP posted this in the Love and Dating section, I agree with Max that there's nothing he says that indicates he wants to start a romantic relationship. He wants to chat with women. It's interesting to me that there is a difference in perception of his intent between the men and the women who have commented in this thread.

I am more comfortable in general communicating with women than with men and that's been the case for me all of my life.

Maybe he wants to chat with women about realtionship stuff. His profile says he's 30 & the age range of women he said he's interested in chatting with is between 21 & 50. Not many 30 year-old guys would want to start a romantic relationship with a women 20 years older than them.

Leon's a nice person. He's free to seek friendships or use WP to meet people, just like anyone else can, within the rules of L&D. No female members have to write to him if they don't want to, so I don't see why anyone would take offence.

Just like in dating, I seem to say things that seem normal to me but end up sounding weird to everyone else.

Oh well.

He wants to talk to women. I can understand that. He also needs to leave SF I think that that's the wrong town for him.

In most contexts, and even in dating contexts, people don’t care too much about a person’s virginity. I happen to know women who don’t mind at all.

You mentioned that you have a job. Why not hang out with your workmates? Go bowling with them or something. I’m supposed to go bowling with workmates sometime in 2020.
