I said to one of my friends that he looked like James Corden. My friend then told me to “**** off”
I don’t get it how is that an insult? I mean James Corden is not ugly at all is he?

If he really told you to f-off because of that, he has a temper problem. Was he drunk?

Sometimes, people just WANT to be insulted, so they can insult or fight with someone else. I don't hang out with these sorts of idiots.

Will it be possible, sometime later, when your friend is in a calmer mood, to apologize for offending him and then ask him why it bothered him to be told that he looked like James Corden?

Had to google who he was - I do recognize him, as I’ve seen a few clips from his show online.

He’s not an unattractive man, however, he is overweight. Perhaps your friend took offence to being compared to him because he’s sensitive about being overweight and maybe doesn’t see himself as being as overweight as James Corden?

Either he thinks Corden is ugly or thinks he looks like someone he wouldn't like to look like (in the same way that if you tell a biker he looks like Justin Bieber, he doesn't need to think Bieber is ugly in order to deck you).

He got insulted because Corden is a chubby cherub. I adore the guy but he does come off a bit gay. He's adorable. Straight men don't seem to like him very much. Women love him.

My dad looks like Heston Blumenthal.

I told him this and he got offended.

Then he told me he got told by women that he looked like a Spanish pop star. 20 years younger than him, full head of hair, sexy guy.

I doubt it.

He really does look like Heston.
