For years I couldn't understand my own sexuality - now I do - thanks to Dr. Faith G. Harper!!
I am under the ACE umbrella.

You mean this kind of stuff https://www.asexualityarchive.com/tag/ace-umbrella/ ?
After reading some of such articles, I decided I'm probably demisexual. That explains why people in the movies have so much sex with strangers and it sells. I never could understand it.
Oh, well. No big deal for me but if you want to elaborate how it changed so much to you, I always love to learn

Don't anger God while you're there.

After the culture started to revolve around sex, some people realized everybody experiences it differently... and started producing labels.

And those labels are stupid.

For example If you only feel horny for a man you care for that doesn't mean you're something special; it just means you're heterosexual who feels attracted only to men you care for.

Nobody says it's about "being something special".
But with so much sex in popular culture, some just can't relate to the mainstream. Knowing there are more people similarily not relating can be reassuring.

I’m definitely demi.

The label is helpful. I used to not be able to understand how people could be attracted to someone without any deeper feeling being involved.

It made me feel sort of weird because as magz says I couldn’t relate.

If a guy was sexually attracted to me, I figured that he wanted something more because that’s how I am.

As a teen, I also couldn’t understand how my friends would get all hot and bothered by a guy without knowing him personally. I never fantasize about a guy unless I’m really into him.

^ The majority of hetero women claim the same thing (only attracted to guys they know well) - this is the defacto most common claim among women.

Then how comes you feel weirded?

That wasn’t expressed among my friends.

I typically saw the opposite.

I know women who have it either way.
And I know men who have it either way.
I don't feel weirded, as I expressed before, it's no big deal for me, rather a fun fact, but it may be useful for people from different sexual cultures.
