when i was 18 i remember one of my best friends who is mildly autistic himself told me how he got his girlfriend "we met at a party and we both found each other attractive"

but do you agree in reality for many people on the spectrum establishing a romantic relationship is more complicated than just 'finding each other attractive at a house party'?


i suspected his girlfriend as well had aspergers but again only quite mild.

That happens for some people, but many of those relationships don't last long term. I had a couple of short term relationships like that (alcohol was involved both times), but they didn't work out in the end, mainly due to my problems. I think most people probably meet their boyfriends/girlfriends other ways, but I am not very good at romance so what do I know.

Those are not long term relationships, this is about a overnight story
