So, if you've been following my shenanigans you're probably aware of the situation. However, for those of you that haven't- I tried online dating and found out that a girl I'd been talking to goes to my university. She turned out to be a friend of a friend and we started talking outside of the dating app on a different social media platform. Although we wanted to hang out, our schedules kept clashing.
However, I finally met her. I went to watch a student talent showcase and she was there. So I saw her sing on stage and chatted with her briefly afterwards. Our conversation was about a stage prop. Then she went off with her friends. I felt a bit awkward there since I didn't know many people at the event. However, everyone was friendly enough.
I got asked a few times if I'd ever consider joining the theatre society by a guy I started talking to, but despite being a part of an improv group, I'm not sure I'd be confident enough to ever join theatre.
Perhaps if I were a part of their tech team it wouldn't be so bad. The girl in question is a part of the theatre society, she seems to be quite popular. She's definitely an interesting character; she performed All-star by Smash Mouth as a power ballad.
I think I might be a little jealous of her. She's so popular, quite pretty, fashionable, a good singer, has a good sense of humour and seems to fit in well with the theatre group. I have to wonder why on Earth she'd even have an interest in me. Although my heart did seem to do several backflips when I saw her on stage so I don't think it's entirely jealousy. I was a little worried how she'd react seeing me there, or if she'd even recognise me. She did. We didn't speak much and she spent most of the night with her friends. I recognised someone else there so I mainly stuck with them and their group. You may have seen my latest update in my pointless thread about the meeting not going well. I think I was jumping to conclusions. Things didn't go badly, more so neutrally. I hope we can continue being friends even if we don't end up being something more.
