So, if you've been following my shenanigans you're probably aware of the situation. However, for those of you that haven't- I tried online dating and found out that a girl I'd been talking to goes to my university. She turned out to be a friend of a friend and we started talking outside of the dating app on a different social media platform. Although we wanted to hang out, our schedules kept clashing.

However, I finally met her. I went to watch a student talent showcase and she was there. So I saw her sing on stage and chatted with her briefly afterwards. Our conversation was about a stage prop. Then she went off with her friends. I felt a bit awkward there since I didn't know many people at the event. However, everyone was friendly enough.

I got asked a few times if I'd ever consider joining the theatre society by a guy I started talking to, but despite being a part of an improv group, I'm not sure I'd be confident enough to ever join theatre.

Perhaps if I were a part of their tech team it wouldn't be so bad. The girl in question is a part of the theatre society, she seems to be quite popular. She's definitely an interesting character; she performed All-star by Smash Mouth as a power ballad.

I think I might be a little jealous of her. She's so popular, quite pretty, fashionable, a good singer, has a good sense of humour and seems to fit in well with the theatre group. I have to wonder why on Earth she'd even have an interest in me. Although my heart did seem to do several backflips when I saw her on stage so I don't think it's entirely jealousy. I was a little worried how she'd react seeing me there, or if she'd even recognise me. She did. We didn't speak much and she spent most of the night with her friends. I recognised someone else there so I mainly stuck with them and their group. You may have seen my latest update in my pointless thread about the meeting not going well. I think I was jumping to conclusions. Things didn't go badly, more so neutrally. I hope we can continue being friends even if we don't end up being something more.

Sounds swell to me.....

I hope things proceed well. She might be "this"---but you might be "that." She might be better than you at some things. You might be better than her at some things.

What matters is the attraction.

Thank you, Kraftie. You can often talk sense into others. I should really follow my own advice more; about not overly comparing yourself to people, not relying on them too much for your own self worth, and not putting people on pedestals. Admittedly I can sometimes be hypocritical in that sense. Falling into the same patterns.

Even the most attractive people feel sometimes attraction. And if it comes to NTs also because they may become turned on just because of sensing your feelings of it ...

She is typical except for her dyspraxia and anxiety.
