Why? Is that as much of a turn on for girls? Noticed more than once that girls did approach me immediately after I had to show other guys their limits by becoming aggressive. It's nothing I like to be.
Ladies what's up with this?

The question was not whether you like this but what's up with this. It seems a question of social hierarchy to me that the NTs are into. Beside of this I doubt that most NT women care much whether a guy is just civilized once they are looking for a partner.

It might just be the women you're running into? A lot of NT women don't seem to be into the whole "aggression" thing, at least in my peer group. Usually for anyone who has common sense consistent "aggression" is a turn off, as I don't think people enjoy worrying about whether their partner will harm them. Modern humans aren't chimpanzees and don't inherently get off over the male who beats the most males in an aggressive stand-off.

Probably an evolutionary holdover from when humans were a tournament species.

Obviously I don't have all the answers but I would say that favoring traits like 'aggression' in men (for NT women and ASD women alike) is sort of going out of fashion. There's a lot more questioning of gender roles/norms - for men, that means more encouragement to be open to sensitivity and other perceived 'feminine' traits (I'm more of a gender abolitionist in thought, for reference, so 'masculine' and 'feminine' are constructs from my perspective).

As for your personal experience, please correct me if I'm wrong, but from your original post it sounds like you may have experienced the attention in a specific situation of showing aggression towards a man who was already behaving poorly (possibly aggressively?) himself, in which case the positive attention received afterwards could be from an appreciation for standing up to someone who embodies the negative type of general aggression.

For me, I've always been more attracted to sensitive, more effeminate men, so I can't speak for women being drawn to aggression - I know, as you said above, this doesn't really help with your initial point since I'm not NT. However, I do think that favoring the sort of 'warrior male' masculinity is fading as people are becoming more questioning of gender roles as they are sort of spoon-fed to us by media and the like. Just my two cents.

This is so true in my experience. I guess its the ancient part of the brain that is wired to find dominance attractive.

Of course youll get denials but they will be accessing the civilised, rational part of the brain.

My experiences were eye opening. It makes sense in a world view. Why is human history so consistently violent and combative? What behaviour is rewarded and what isnt?

I think our responses were more us letting you know we're probably not the right crowd to ask.

But in the past women would probably survive longer and feel safer with a partner who could protect them against physical threats.

Imagine you live in a village in medieval times. Who's going to be the person who protects you and your children. The travelling storyteller with his lute or the burly farmer?

Those of us who've had sheltered lives don't need protecting. But a women who grew up in an area where aggression gets you respect amongs your peers will feel safer with someone aggressive, just as long as he doesn't turn it on her.

I remember Louis Theroux interviewing an inmate in a prison who explained why he was there. He had done something seriously violent and said to Louis, "he dissed me. I need respect. What would you do if someone didn't respect you?"

Louis said, "I'd walk away."

The guy was dumbfounded. That's not how it works where he grew up.

Most women aren't like that at all.

Generally women are less aggressive and violent. Not stereotyping, it's a biological fact, just as we're not as strong as men.

I'm a women and i would find that intimidating. I would want a man to be soft and genteel towards me.

Glad I'm more into cartoons and anime than those so-called "reality" TV, because "reality" shows are a bunch of hogwash. It makes me feel bad for those who are into that stuff.
