Is it harder now for people to get a girlfriend/boyfriend during this pandemic?

It seems like it, given how people are still quarantining.

Dunno for sure, but probably. Never been in a relationship. But during covid I’m avoiding unnecessary human contact of any kind - so no hookups or anything at all. I bet that I’m far from the only one social distancing to level Sasquatch. So, the pool of prospective dates turned partner is likely far smaller right now, and thus it’s likely more difficult for almost everyone to get into a relationship.

Of course there are going to be some out there who never have dating difficulties who Also have no problem dating during covid. The only difference is they might have their pic from 5 prospective partners instead of 15-20. The same people that don’t have these difficulties also won’t have them during a pandemic - their dating lives might just look a little different.. online first date, social distanced second coffee date or whatever if their dates are taking covid seriously.

So, depends. If you Had Some difficulties already, you’ll definitely have more. If you had none before, you’ll probably have some during - especially due to people hopping out of the dating pool, drying off, and going to ride motorcycles until covid is over.

I think it depends on your level of risk assessment and other similar-minded people.

As for me, I am not dating in such an environment but many folks still are. I think online dating is probably more popular right now than meeting people in bars though or something.

It's harder to do anything because of the pandemic.

Actually I liked the light traffic on the roads for a couple of weeks. Then it was back to normal, or worse. Now everybody is out just to make a point.

Actually I found it to be the opposite, I reconnected with someone who has a busy social life, in isolation they've got the time for me now. Will it last? I don't know.

It's hard to accomplish anything in a pandemic.

In some ways, maybe it's easier.. people are lonely and have been apart so long they're craving attention from others, so, maybe people might chat each other up online a bit and decide they're into each other and then move forward with a relationship - even if it's socially distant for the first little while. Or maybe they've been social distancing so long they're both ready to say F it let's hookup and get nekkid asap. There's that, too.

Also, in chatting with ppl on hookup apps.. because people aren't Supposed to be hooking up & mixing households, a lot of ppl wanna do it even more! So for those still hooking up during the pandemic it's apparently easier than ever. I can see that. Especially since a lot of people are voluntarily out of the game and a bunch of lonely single people just wanna f**k & cuddle.

It's my opinion that during the pandemic, is better to restrict oneself to online dating, and not persuing physical relationships until everything returns to normal.

It's best to remain single during the pandemic IMHO.
