Last night at a party me and some male friends took our shirts of.

One woman in the group remarked that my body looked gross.

In height I am only 5ft7 1/2 so I can’t change that about myself but what aspects of our bodies can we change or improve?

quite an extreme

If you want, change your diet

Not everyone likes the same thing

Fat content (BMI), muscle definition, and skin color ... that's about it.

Until you have lost weight and muscled up (e.g., eat less and exercise more), don't take your shirt off in public.

I’m just about obese.

And I’m 5 foot 5.

Nobody says nasty things about my body.

James hangs out in bars too much.

I have some friends I go out to pubs with on the weekend. You are going to get the occasional idiot who gives you a put down.

If you know that, why are you so distraught?

Are there any gyms near you? If yes, buy yourself a gym membership and go there to exercise.

If not, try a sport you think you may enjoy, such as tennis, soccer, or jogging.

Can I just mention I am 5ft7 1/2 and weigh 160 pounds which is almost overweight for my height.

That isn't very overweight. It should take no time to get to what you want.

How nice of her. <sarcasm>

What sort of ugly personality would say something like that?
How old was she?
Only a young person would say something like that, surely.

"Young and dumb", as they say. ;)
