Would any of you consider entering a relationship with someone significantly older than yourself?

I have dated both significantly older and younger people. If it works, why worry about it?

My wife is 17 1/2 years younger than me. We've been together for 22 years. Sure, we've had some problems...but none of them have been related to our age difference.

My boyfriend is 13 years older than I am. I'm 30 and he's 43. I actually have a preference for older men.

No I prefer 16 to 21 year old not 50 and 60 year olds. 16 is legal in Oklahoma and Arkansas where I live part-time .But I would not date a 50 or 60 year old.

Same.

Age is irrelevant to me. What matters to me is how we get along.

I am in a healthy relationship with a man 20+ years older than me. I've been lectured on WP a few times about it but most people I know in real life are accepting of it and know that we're both consenting adults and we love each other and are happy.

My wife is 12 years older than me.

My father married someone 25 years younger than he was.

I prefer 17 to 21 year olds in Texas and not any older than 40.I may date a 40 year old but she would have to be never married with no kids. However I would only marry a younger woman because I want kids of our own together.I would not marry a 50 year old because she prolly could not have kids.

No. I wouldn't consider entering into a relationship with anyone much younger than me either.

I would not. It's fairly common for women in relationships with Aspie guys to feel like they are forced to be the Aspie's mom instead of his romantic partner. This imbalance causes the women to start resenting their Aspie man-child. I've seen lots of posts on this forum over my many years here that confirmed this & there have even been websites that cater to angry bitter women who have supposedly been in horrible romantic relationships with an Aspie guy like HeartlessAspergers.com.

I'm very dependent & way behind my peers with lots of life things due to being disabled & I also always had major problems getting along with my mom due to her being a strong independent woman. My mom worked hard her whole life till she retired & she could NOT relate to being disabled & struggling majorly to find any employment. I could NEVER be independent the way my mom felt I needed to be. She's done aLOT more for me than most parents would do for their child but she also gripped about it alot which caused me to regularly have very BAD meltdowns directed at her which & we had LOTS & LOTS of very BAD fights my whole life till I moved in with my current girlfriend at 30. I would HATE for my romantic partner to start resenting me the way I felt my mom did. Dating someone a lot older than me seems like a recipe for disaster, especially if she has kids & an older woman is much more likely to have had children than a much younger woman. Plus I cant imagine why a women a lot older than me would have any interest in me romantically.

However there has been a bit of Aspie women on this forum who have been in serious romantic relationships with older NT guys. I won't name any cuz I don't want anyone to feel Singled Out(I actually watched that 90s MTV dating show called that) & those relationships tend to seem a lot more stable & less problematic.
