SMV is BS. Everyone who might be a viable partner for you has their own unique criteria for an ideal partner, so your SMV will fluctuate wildly depending on who's being asked to rate.

Eg a chubby chaser would rate a woman with a BMI of 40 very differently from how a guy who likes supermodels would rate her.

I've found a realtor with a large number of clients. I mean, they take a 20% commission but my average closing fee has also increased. :nerdy:

For those of you unfamiliar with the term, SMV is short for Sexual Market Value. Your sexual market value is how attractive you are to the opposite sex. The higher your SMV, the easier it will be to attract partners, and to attract higher quality partners as well.

There's an implied mass market mentality here, with everyone being ranked on a single vertical scale of "value," not allowing that different people may have different tastes.

My own primary criteria, when looking for a partner (or for friends), have always been horizontal rather than vertical. Example: I want people who share at least some of my interests and have compatible values.

well eww, lol. I mean one of the reasons I like my boyfriend is that he didn't act like some PUA, he was just genuine about himself which I liked. Almost too good to believe a guy would actually be what he says he is, and not playing some game I don't even understand the rules of. He said he wanted a girlfriend, and I wanted to be his girlfriend it was a simple choice...do we continue as a couple or not? No weird games or either of us playing hard to get, just genuine Commnication. Not to say we never have any struggles or conflicts but we're at least on the same page of wanting to stick together long term.

It is an attempt to more clearly define and quantify the sexist "Attractiveness Scale" applied by some males to women.
