Ok... I was inspired to rant just a bit after reading that "Nice Guys suck" thread.

For some reason it got me thinking about some of the things I've gotten from the other gender in my experiences meeting them:

Gossipy: If she's making all those comments like that about all these other people, I wonder what she's saying about me when I'm not around.

Vindictive: I had one brag to me about how she dumped a bottle of nail polish on her roommate's clothes. Not on MY clothes!

Wounded / having emotional baggage: When the subject of that one bad -or all those bad relationships come up, that's where I have to draw the line: I'm not anybody's security blanket.

Bi-polar or Borderliner:"I'm sorry, sweetie, but I have my plate full enough with my AS issues."

Substances: Is she content to stop at some point before getting too far gone, or does she have to drain the keg dry or suck the fumes out of the cork? Does that ounce of wacky tobacky take precedence of that order of groceries? Yes means 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O

Pet owners: I had some whose dogs incessantly pranced around the living room, huffing, wooffing, blowing, and snorting as we sat on the sofa trying to hold a conversation. The dog would just vie for attention and monopolize the situation like a spoiled child. If she won't do anything to control the dog's antics, then I'd rather leave. I don't like dogs anyway. If there are animal odors in the place, that says a lot too.

Any other put-offs you experienced? Please share.

Being told to impersonate Tom Brokaw during sex - that would be quite disturbing.

When a guy's walk says, "Hellooooo, I am here. Start the party!"

Bleh. I hope he trips on his face.

Well, I want to be appreciated in a relationship. If they expect me to do all kinds of s**t for them and still keep going on about how men are pigs then I wont hesitate to dump them.

Or alternatively if they do go on about how guys are pigs you could sit there and crack on em, be like "See, this is why I stay with you - because you say things like that"  .

Its your way of saying she humors you and you like having her around for your entertainment because when she gets like that you're pulling out the popcorn, watching the show, and wondering what asinine thing she'll say next (aka laughing at her, not with her). On the other side of it though, if you were really all out serious with something like that its probably a bad idea (say it with dry humor not vindictively), you have to play it like your just amusing yourself by throwing a good social counter-punch back at her. NTs ego-check each other all the time and saying that sort of thing is one good example.

Boring
Stupid
Whiny
Criticizes my appearance (that's all of the above)
Talks about how hot another woman is (also all of the above)
Says I look great "for my age" (you should have stopped at the word "great")
Asks me out, or initiates contact on a dating site, then sits there and expects me to do the chasing
Says, "I have to be drunk to dance"
Complains about women in general, or an ex in particular
Says, "What's THAT supposed to mean?" when I make a joke
Talks about sex, without ANY indication I'm interested that way (guys, we know you want sex, you don't have to advertise it)
Goes on and on about what he owns/how much money he makes/how powerful he is
Lets the bill sit there forever after dinner
