I wouldn’t be that complicated if it wasn’t for complex trauma.

It also would not be that complicated if, when I ask a question that can only be answered 'Yes' or 'No', the woman does not launch into a ten-minute monologue that never gets around to answering my question.

I don’t do that.

Not to flame, Fnord, but do you ever answer questions on WP with "yes" or "no" and no additional info?

We all write more than yes or no.

If it's an in-person question they're lucky if I answer verbally at all.
I'm more likely to nod or say mmmhmmm, yup, etc.

NT women at least are known to be better at language than men, in general.

Every bi woman I knew told me that dealing with women is more complicated than men.
They have credibility more than anyone because they experienced both first hand.

I’m a bi woman. The men I’ve dealt with were more complex. I’ve not dealt with that many, and I only had a thing with one woman, though.

I’m complicated because I was mistreated by complex men.

I think everyone is terribly confusing.

"So, you're a woman"
"Yes"
"So, maybe you could offer some insight about my girlfriend's behaviour"
"... Have you tried asking her?"

I know that isn't always the solution, but you might be surprised how often it is. The amount of times my friends ask for advice and the issue is communication is significant.

Although I suppose it's easy for me to sit on my high horse when I have no stakes in the matter. It's not always communication mind you, I have a friend who by far has one of the most complicated love lives I've ever encountered. Frankly I don't know what to advise. I could almost do with a flowchart to wrap my head around that one. Hats off to the couples counsellors out there; I've no idea what I'm doing!
