I'm planning a day trip to Bath on Friday to meet up with one of my Uni pals...who I have been having thoughts about asking out... I think I just need some reassurance. :)

We seem to have a real chemistry together, and one that so many people appear to have noticed, plus we seem to share a lot of the same traits. She's not AS (or at least not diagnosed, though she does know of it's existance through me) but is quite amazingly tolerent of my eccentricities, and indeed often seems to join in with them. We share a similar obsession with comedy and tend to spend a lot of time randomly reciting quotes to each other. She wants to talk to me a lot too, which is unsual amongst most folks. I've even made some slightly clumsy attempts at a flirt, which appear to have been recriprocated, though I can't be entirely sure.

But somehow there's that painfully frustrating niggle somewhere in my head that she'll say no. :( Perhaps it's just because of past experience but i'm not sure if she's quite noticed what we share, and unfortunately as I can't pick up any potential hints i'm unlikely ever to know until I get a 'yay or nay' on Friday. :?

I'm going to ask her anyway I think, otherwsie i'm just going to keep on fretting about it. so i'm not asking people to make the decision for me. :) But a little reassurance as to wether it sounds like there could be some success brewing would be appreciated and, if not, then feel free to shoot me down in flames so that I can try and stop thinking about it. :D

Thanks all. :)

Go for it, have fun together. At some time during your day discuss ideas for an evening together then ask her out.

Don't forget to let us know how you went on, we'll be rooting for you :D

Go for it! When my husband and I met, we just clicked like that. He got up the nerve to ask me out and I accepted happily. Turns out we're both aspies, but we didn't know it for 7 years :o
