I have seen it posted and discussed several times on the internet that people can tell when you are looking at them. I don't seem to be able to do this. Can others here tell when they are being looked at? Is not having this ability a trait of Aspergers or might there be something else off about me as well? If you can do this, what does it feel like?

I've been thinking about that lately, and wondering if it was a topic here.

In my case I feel like I'm being watched all the time, even when I'm alone indoors.
It's not a paranoia but a really strong self-consciousness.

When someone really is looking at me it feels like daggers of sharp energy.

That is interesting. I definitely don't feel anything like that, I guess confirming that I don't have this ability.

I can't tell either.

My previous taiko (drumming) group used to have this 'pass the beat' game where we practiced non-verbal communication and synergy and whatever and I always failed at it spectacularly because I could never tell when people were looking at me or even gesturing at me. It was embarrassing and I hated it.
