Time and again for some years, I find myself back in the position of analysing what love is and what it is not, and why we should trust in it or even believe in it when it is so transient and can so easily turn to hate when the one we love or who loves us is angry.

What is love? I mean, is it just a word?
It is very rarely constant and unconditional, this much I know.
I have loved a few unconditionally, but generally they are those I have been at a distance from.

Why is it that as soon as you get 'close' to someone, anger can step in so much more easily and totally obscure, even negate any feelings of love?

Can one say that love is still there for you if you have had a row and the person in that heated anger wishes you dead or feels total loathing for you? How can that be love?

To me, it negates the existence of that pure and constant thing I used to believe love to be and renders it pointless.

I define love as platonic... The other forms of love, I tend to ignore.

Well, this feeling might indicate the problems Anakin Skywalker faced in his life with the loss of his wife, and him turning evil and ending up hating everybody (including his wife), and more importantly, turning evil. (as if Anakin had AS??)

NB: Some people have odd ways to show Love, as in they search ways to torture their loved ones, basically, a feeling that the second party deprives the person what he feels s/he needs, and that expression maight be a way to get back at them...

Love is the single most underestimated idea in the world.

It is an ideal.

It is wonderful.

It is terrible.

Love is an idea that we've evolved to give a s**t about each other and protect each other from predators.

Love is an idea that we've evolved to make sex more pleasurable, more personal.

Love is a hooker who gives you siphlis even though she charges you way more than the other hookers.

Love is your heart exploding in a storm of blood.

Love is pain. Love is suffering.

Love is that voice in your head that keeps you awake at night, unable to stop thinking about what she last said to you, what you last said to her.

Love is a piece of s**t.

Love is so worth it.

Love is the most beautiful thing in the world, if it's in a good mood.

Love is that which mutilates every shred of your soul if it's in a bad mood.

And, finally..."Love's a funeral of hearts, and an ode for cruelty."
