Well, just tell whoever you are with that cuddiling for a long time makes you uncomfortable or find a very roomy place to do so.

I love cuddling!

You are concerned your hair might irritate someone with AS?

A good shampoo, a good hair conditioner, cool water rinse after the conditioner.

No harsh temperatures, such as hair dryer.

Cut it short, presuming it is not short already.

Shave your head? Just watch for when the stubble comes back.

Wear some sort of hair cover to bed.

What do you mean, 'straw-like' hair?
Is it stiff all over? Does it feel scratchy to you or your partner?
Is your hair dry and brittle?

I think it is really nice of you to care so much that you want to find an answer to this question for you partner! Kudos to you! :D

So shave. Or condition it.

Whatever.

Don't touch too lightly, it can feel ticklish and that's just unpleasant. Avoid rubbing movements. Holding hands is nice, together on the couch. If your aspie partner wants to cuddle, ask them what feels most comfortable. I'm simply stating what works for me personally. Everyone is different.

You're worried about your HEAD hair?

Fah, short means that it shouldn't be too big a deal.
Has he complained?

LOL, ironically I also have "Straw-Like" Hair but I don't like cuddling much. In fact, I pretty much need 5 feet personal space or else I get uncomfortable, I don't like it when people come right up to me and hug me.

So, don't know if all of AS guys think like me, but I don't.

Sraw Like Hair is very thick hair that sticks straight up or too the side even if you put conditioner on it, like if you are in the swim pool a lot your hair will get "Straw Like." Only problem with me is that its pretty much natuiral, pretty weird.

5 feet? Wow, either you're extraordinarily
well hung, or sex must suck.

I recently realized that this is why I haven't liked my husband touching me much. I told him to try a firm grasp instead, and it's much more pleasant for me. He's thrilled to know that it's not him that I don't like, it's just part of my sensory issues.

I don't completely understand what you are saying, but I was talking about 5 feet in general and I wasn't relating anything towards sex.

I just don't like people to be close to me at all.....

Ah! So you don't have sex with PEOPLE.

All clear. Thank you.

Brian, don't mind Calandale too much.

If you really don't get what he was saying, it's like this...
The OP mentions cuddling and hair... which are two things that mean SEX to Calandale (wait... doesn't everything? ),
So naturally (in the vein of this thread), Calandale figured your male 'member' must be awful long to connect with someone 5ft. away!

Either that... or MY mind's in the gutter! 8O
