I don't like to party/dance/drink. Where do I find women?

I hate dancing and drinking in clubs but I like quiet, private parties. No idea how you're going to find a woman though. The internet?

What about clubs?

e.g. in my town the art center organizes photography clubs/ pottery clubs/ paint clubs etc.
Sometimes they' organize a photography 'field day' and you take your camera and go to some place with a group of people to take pictures (e.g. a forest/park/valley etc.).

I think there's even a club for going to plays etc.

So if you have a bit of artsy inside you, you might enjoy going to a club like that and be able to meet other people (including women).

Other than that, you could take cooking lessons, go on an organized tour to some place, etc.

Or if you're into sports, perhaps you could attend a sport club. Apart from meeting people during training/lessons, the club will probably organize dances and such where you get time to socialize with others from your club. Though I guess it might not be an ideal situation if you don't like to do that sort of stuff. Though, sometimes during these parties, people just find a quiet spot (e.g. outside) and just talk. No dancing, well..some..drinking..for some people.. and not partying in the traditional sense I suppose.

Though I think it'd be a bad idea to just go there for the sake of meeting women.
The one person you'll love or get butterflies from in your stomach, well, you'll meet them in the strangest place and usually when you least expect it;)

But as a general rule, getting involved in activities is a good way to come into contact with others and build relationships (friendships or more intimate).

And don't just go some place if you don't like the activity. Go somewhere where you'll know you'll have fun. It'll show and make you more attractive:)

Well...what DO you do? Do you have any interests or hobbies or activities? You can meet women at a book club, photography class, at the gym, walking your dog in the park, etc.

If the only thing you like to do is sit inside your room and do stuff on your computer, maybe you should consider dating online.

Age please? Otherwise, I'm going to tell you that the Elsie Stuhr Retirement Center is a great place ;) High girl to guy ratio.

You probably want small, structured activities focused on something that interests you, so that you automatically have something in common with the women attending it. Book club? SCA? Audabon Society? Hiking group? Something like that.

I like the Simpsons, South Park, stand-up comedy, and indie/foreign films. But most people who like those things tend to fit into the "artsy hipster" category". I am artsy, but I am no hipster. In fact, I am a Christian who backs the Republican Party.

Yet because of that, people immediately assume that I am sexist, bigoted, and homophobic without ever getting to know me.

Also, I will only date Aspies because of bad experiences with dating NTs.

Please choose from the following four options:

1) You have posted in the wrong thread, a perfectly understandable occurrence.
2) You truly feel watching the Simpsons and South Park is an ideal way to meet members of the opposite sex.
3) You feel the OP should not meet women at all and are distracting him with a post all about you!
4) You feel the OP should only date Aspies, not NT women, but have decided against a contribution about how to meet Aspie women.

I know this guy who started out just liking The Simpsons, South Park, and stand-up comedy on Comedy Central and at local comedy clubs just like many young adults. Then he took a drawing class in college "just for the fine arts credit." He fell in with the wrong crowd and started watching the Sundance Channel and seeing films at the local alternative theater. He'd say, "I am artsy, but I am no hipster." A few weeks later, he came back from an "ironic trip" to Disney World to tell us about the blog he had started about environmental and local concerns, which was to be featured in The Riverfront Times, Saint Louis's hip alternative newspaper; he was wearing black-rimmed glasses, a scarf even though it was 76° F out, and a faded Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles t-shirt. I asked him, "Why the glasses? I thought your eyesight was 20/20!" His reply was, "It just looks cool, but I am no hipster. In fact, I am a Christian who backs the Republican Party."

I thought the point of my question was obvious given the name of the forum. By the way, what's up with that "if you ask a stupid question.." BS? Are all your verbal thought processes composed of lame cliches? If you lack the cognitive ability necessary to adequately interpret my question I think the one at fault here is you.

Nothing besides doing things in my computer, except reading, but I am a slow reader and like to read at my own pace and only those books I really want to read, so I don't think a book club would work.

Do you mean like finding women online and dating them in real life or actually finding and dating them online?

The only stupid question --aside from one that isn't asked in a well-meaning spirit, of course-- is one that goes unasked. In answer, then:

Coffeehouses --of the American kind, not the Dutch, and wifi-enabled strongly preferred-- work just swell for me. And I don't mean Starbucks; support a local business instead.

There's no high-pressure vibe of the bar/nightclub/"dating" kind. Strictly casual. Life is a sitcom, and it's a great environment in which to become and remain a character; characters are interesting and attractive to others in what are inherently social environments (and it's important to bear in mind that nobody in there knows your story any more than you know theirs...until you get to talkin', at any rate).

The likelihood of immediate, repeated and sustained success from a dating/romance standpoint is small, but what also has to be borne in mind is that it's a "long game" at which one becomes skilled thru practice, and the knowledge to be picked up there has useful applications in other aspects of the business of getting thru life. It's a culture of sorts, and there are things to do and others to eschew, but it's not hard to identify, absorb and play by the rules if one is patiently observant.

I forced myself to start doing it and keep it up, and I've adapted my own routine and particular likes and dislikes to fit it. It's not without its frustrations and annoyances, but I find it totally worthwhile on balance.

I meant finding them online and dating them in real life, via a site like EHarmony or OKCupid or whatever (I enjoy Nerve.com personals myself.)

I hate dancing, drinking and partying (I hate even going to family parties). Because of this I've always thought that I will it a lot harder to get a girl, but I think for everyone who hates being a party animal has to put up with this and get on with it.
