Anyone here with another aspie? Have you ever been with neurotypicals? How does it differ in your opinion or how is your experience in general with an aspie?

I have been with one of each. My first girlfriend (the NT) cheated on me. My second girlfriend (the Aspie) was rather nice, and she was probably borderline AS/NT like me, but we broke up because we were polar opposites regarding non-AS-related things. I was liberal and she was conservative, and we didn't have very similar interests (I feel that is absolutely crucial that two people in a relationship have similar or identical interests and beliefs).

I am single, but prefer other Aspies, because of my first girlfriend cheating on me.

Tim

Overgeneralizing sucks, but I know you can't help it -- I'm the same way. NT girls sometimes pick apart little, really unimportant (IMO), things about me so what happens is I assume they all do. Not necessarily true, but true enough for me to be weary.

I can only do AS-AS relationships, but finding another Aspie is impossible.

Each has their own good and bad points. While I have never actually had a girlfriend, I would actually probably prefer NT women, as the sensitivities of each aspie are pretty much a random roll as to what one is sensitive to, and two people sensitive to completely different things would make it very hard to live together...

As for NT women, well, Tim covered most of that; no need to reiterate...

Actually the only thing I want to point out about NT women -- and this is nothing against Aspie women because I don't know much about that, but I know for a fat a good NT woman is a pretty good health advocate. Plus they can do certain things I can't (Which includes cheating on me Q.Q, but that isn't the point). Anyway my point is that NT is a pretty good balance -- but it's *rough.* It must really not be very common to find a compatible NT girlie :O?

Take NT out of that equation and it would be correct... If only it weren't...
