Suppose I like one girl, she rejects me, I perseverate, and things never work out. Then 2 months later after I'm over her, I like someone else. I learn she has a boyfriend but that she was single at the time I liked previous girl, but I never noticed the current one because liking someone tunes out everyone else? Is this frustrating chain of events typical?

Has been true in my life but I still ended up married to the right person.

I think everyone, not just us, has the same problem to some extent. You are certainly not alone in this, but that never makes anyone feel better.

Well, you know what they say... Life is hard. In my opinion they should change that.
